Chefs Jason Vincent and Ben Lustbader are masters at crafting crave-able foods. At their Chicago restaurant, Giant, they painstakingly pipe out waffle fries for the masses and crank out handmade pasta topped with crab. They are constantly thinking about how they can up the game on classic comfort foods and Midwestern fare.

Yup. Pommes Dauphine are delicious indeed. Very cool idea to shape them like waffle cut fries. 👍

Those waffle cut fries are too much work. Amazing restaurant by the looks of it.

Not really as you could just get a waffle slicer and cut some potatoes as a traditional take on them. The dough is pretty easy to knock out and mashed potatoes can be the kind from a container in the store. It is all about how much you want the item lol. But yeah more effort than opening a bag of frozen fries.

video is misleading--fries are served with crab salad, so you're not just sitting there eating a few fries. giant kicks ass and its definitely not a place where you are served pretentious dishes!
