If they were stepping a long time then i was stepping in my mothers womb, my parents were stepping like that, skip, walk, stroll, you name it they did it. Taught my kids.... RIP mom and dad... In SA orig. Chicago.

Is there an actual count? It seems as though there are different “step counts” based on the individual couples stepping.

Val and Ryan, l saw you at the same place with Ken a few years ago. Classes before you and Ryan do this again. You'll be Proud, too.😘✌

I had tried to research the intricacies of this dance craze that came from bop--Chicago Step--for 11 years. I can see one distinction--Pete Frazier does a slight forward flick on the end of the Chicago Step basic step. (2 flicks actually, on his LF and then RF)

Rhythm is the first step in steppin, especially in Chicago Steppin because we're cool. Don't get offbeat and be misled.

@Heat_Rush Жыл бұрын
Couldn't be boring to you. You read the title and clicked on it. 🤡 You can't do the dance just say that, bcuz this is just the basics. You can add to it, just watch a stepping competition.
@bartfart38473 жыл бұрын
meh.. not really impressed. Nothing special here. Its just Slow ball room dancing with a little more swing in the hips. Nothing particularly NEW or Original here.
@quianaellison65202 жыл бұрын
Um, this is a Black American dance form so I you may not know the cultural relevance of steppin/boppin/swing. Please water down someone else's culture
@quianaellison65202 жыл бұрын
1.They never said it was new, they said it was Chicago steppin 2. You don't ( and they didn't) swing your hips in steppin like in rumba or samba. What you were seeing was the natural occurrence of the pelvic moving in a walking movement (the pelvic movement isn't intentional) 3. It's not special, it's CULTURE!
