I’m a Chicagoan, and was in that audience he’s talking about. I’m 30 years old now, I was 5 going on 6 years old with my mom, and grandma watching that particular show at the Regal Theater (which doesn’t exist anymore sadly) when people were doing that chant. We went to see that one, Diary of a Mad Black Woman, Madea’s Family Reunion, Class Reunion, and Meet the Browns. Browns was the last show he did at Regal before it closed. I don’t know who the flake actress was, but I can vouche that he’s telling a true story.
