Thank you so much for sharing the experience. Loving the new format of the video. I couldn't agree more with your sentiments about the works of Nicole Eisenman. They touch on some deep topics, yet they make you want to laugh and smile from the humor. I love the flavor that Eisenman gives the figures and subjects in the works. Thank you again Mary for the consistent dose of culture that you provide us all. Appreciate you.🙏🏽🙏🏽

Thanks for featuring Chicago in your always fantastic videos! It's a great city that doesn't always get the recognition it deserves for its art and cultural life. ❤

FWIW. It felt like the biggest differences between EXPO last year and this year were (i) a few better/more galleries this year and (ii) a downgrade in champagne quality this year along with an increase in champagne cost.

Lovely! From my hometown, USA...the MCA seems to have gotten some new digs, its been twenty-five years since I've been. (Just that tiny slice of deep dish and I gain ten lbs!) Happy travels from SF, and thank you!😺

Welcome to Chicago! I wasn't born here, but the Windy City has been my home for the last 34 years. Chicago is like a cleaner, friendlier version of New York. I have attended numerous iterations of EXPO Chicago. The only difference I noticed this year, after the Frieze buyout, was the addition of emerging artists as well as prints and limited editions. Corbett vs Dempsey is one of my favourite Chicago galleries, which represents many of the Chicago Imagists, a group of SAIC alumni who exhibited together back in the 1960s as the Hairy Who. This group included artists such as Jim Nutt, Roger Brown, and Karl Wursum, which are all represented by Corbett vs Dempsey. I always recommend to visitors that they take the riverboat architecture tour, which is sponsored by the Chicago Architecture Foundation. During this 2-hour docent-led tour of the city's best architecture, they will pump you with so much history about our city that your head will spin. Included on the tour is the Aqua Tower, an 80-storey high-rise that fronts the river. It's architect Jeanne Gang's masterpiece and also my home.

The huge dark grey wall is screaming for contemporary art - maybe instead of all the drinks maybe less of a bare wall. 🤷♂️
