Amazing video with great info, I almost want to keep this video to help explain what detailing is to new customers and help justify prices if they are hesitant to spend that little extra instead of going to an automatic or self serve car wash, just wish I would have realized my passion for cleaning cars when I was younger back when me a few buddies would spend hours in the parking lot of the self service car wash at night cleaning our cars until 2 in the morning. We definitely were doing many things wrong but we were on the write track and had I known what I know now we could have had a very successful business.

Jason, this is probably one of the best detailing videos I have seen. NAILED IT. I’ve always said that there is a difference between someone who “cleans” a car and someone who is good at “detailing” it. Looks you, me and a some others have a lot in common. Great job CAP's. The industry is highly underrated and misunderstood by most everyone but car lovers and enthusiasts...and even among them...detailers don't get enough credit or respect from the rest of the automotive world. Seems the car collectors get all the attention but without the world of professional detailing...their collections wouldn't awe the crowds...wouldn't be so spectacular. Love this humble video👌🏼 as per Greg’s comment about his bikes, I was the same from my pedal bikes, dirt bikes & my first few cars that were not the best, but they were the cleanest shiniest in town. Very cool! I got started into my personal passion for auto DETAILING 6-7 years ago (always have been into washing and waxing, etc but wasn’t privy to the vast scope of detailing beyond that basic car care) when I stumbled upon Matt Moreman’s KZbin channel, back when he was just a guy at home detailing his personal cars, which was when he first got his original blue GT3. I used to use 100% cotton diapers because there weren't any microfiber towels. We used to hide scratches with glaze because it was difficult to remove them. Using rotary buffers was very scary. And wax was used to cover and protect everything.
