Hi Bethany, Dramm does make both a 9-pattern nozzle and a 9 pattern wand . They make the wand in 2 lengths -I thinks it's called Rain Select if I remember correctly. It comes with the one touch shut off too.

I love your bucket planter. I am planning to get one. However, I just had my brother put up a gazebo in my courtyard garden. So now I don’t know where I’ll put the bucket planter. The gazebo is bolted to my patio, which is where I was going to put the planter. I’m going to have to rethink things. I also just had my brother put my hose link up. He was here for a visit and ended up doing little projects around my house while he was here. 🥴😁❤️

The hose is awesome! I can drag it all over.. it’s light and super flexible. I actually have 2 connected (my backyard spicot broke) and drag these connected hoses all over with ease.

Love your container garden and helpful tidbits. I too love the Zero G hose I’ve got 3 that have held up for 5 years . Orbit nozzles with quick disconnect are my fave. My small So Cal backyard container garden has been a lot of work but definitely worth the time spent. 😊🌱🦋

5 years is very impressive 😮. I had 3 of these types of hoses fail in one season and decided to go heavy duty the other way with some hardcore, heavy hose that also ended up failing in one season. Now using the flexzilla which is fairly light and doesn’t tangle much. Very happy with it but it’s only been one season. I might give the Zero G a try, tho 🤣.

I’ll have to try the orbit nozzles! Is there one you like best?

Your container garden is gorgeous! I'm gardening in Chicago too, just wondering how you take care of them in winter.

I’ll be making a bunch of overwintering videos soon, but some I leave out, some I put in a plastic greenhouse, and some I put in the garage!

If you like flexible hoses, you'd love expandable hoses. I do anyway.
@ChicagoGardener
@ChicagoGardener 8 күн бұрын
I think this one is kind of similar but maybe doesn’t get as small as an expandable one.

I hear you on the too-long hose issue. I have expandable hoses. Lightweight and compact. I am a weakling and the big bulky hoses were such a pain I wasn't watering as I should to avoid the fuss. So for my back yard (supply is in a central place my dad added), I was able to just have a 25 foot expandable and it is great. Front yard, tap is about 35 feet away from the first plant and I needed maybe 35 more feet, so I thought to be safe I'd get a 100ft expandable. Dumb. It takes so long to drain and compact and I don't need so much of the length.

Yes! I thought longer would be better and quickly realized is was wrong 😆

I've never had a Zero-G hose, but for most brands, the thing that ruins them the fastest is leaving them under pressure for long periods of time.

Can you sit on those epic garden wooden beds? A ledge to put stuff down on is definitely useful!

I actually stood on the ledge of it once and survived but I probably wouldn’t recommend it regularly 😆

Thank you for the tips and product links. Same issue with the emitters, and tried the Rainbird sprinkler emitter which was a no go. Will look into the 1/2" hose or even the products you have suggested. With our changing climate in the Chicagoland area, I will try to grow some zone 6 vine/climbing perennials. If not, asters or gardenia will be the back up for the next spring
