Poor dad? He wasn't the one having to deal with the boy. Maybe if he loved him that much, he should have taken care of him instead of leaving it to the mother. I am not condoning what the mother did, but my compassion with the father is rather limited

@@wingedkateye3786 and the boy probably wasn't really difficult. He's from Vietnam and doesn't speak the English language. It takes a lot of time for a kid in his age to learn another language properly. There's a language barrier between them, that's why it was difficult. Adopting a kid from another country who doesn't speak the language takes a lot of patience, which the wife obviously doesn't have.

@@ThePrincessCH She did say that, yes. Vietnam is a poor country and I can only assume that he is used to stealing money from other people to keep himself alive. A lot of people in Vietnam don't have enough money to pay for food and other important necessities, so they either steal money or food. Like what Life In Multiple Colours said, the poor boy is not used to speaking in English and wouldn't understand anything what his adoptive mother says from right to wrong.

(to maybe feel more secure? ) i would say if a kid behaves like that you should try everything to make him feel more comfortable and loved? heck just give him a pigybank and some money like most kids and spend time with him and not just run away? how could she even rais other kids? so if the babys scremed and she got tired did she just give them to the nanny? that witchkids are not toys you can order how you want it to be and if its not up to your tasted return it like some defective thing she treated him like those sick people puting a puppy on the street because he peed or bit or he turned to a grown dog and is no longer cute?

Exactly. When you adopt a kid they become your child just the same as biological children. Kids have problems and you can’t just get rid of them when they have more than you like. When you have a biological kid you don’t go “this isn’t the kid I wanted! Send it away and let’s true again.” It’s your kid, you don’t get to pick and choose. If they’re adopted or biological, it doesn’t matter, it’s your kid. No one wants a kid who has problems but he’s your kid now so you need to help him and love him. He didn’t ask for these problems either.

Caring for children under 5 takes a lot of work, too. And a loooot of energy. But a boy at that age, he probably didn't understand that what he was doing was wrong. I mean, stealing money and food? And a single parent caring for a kid that steals while her husband was away working? And she wanted a boy under five but the orphanage must've got it wrong or something because she got the boy who steals. She must've lost her patience with the boy and got desperate. I get that. I do. But a parent's job is to take care and love their children. Even when they're being difficult. That so-called "mother" lost that title when she decided to give him up to some random strangers from a random website.

Him stealing food and money is obviously a result of not being able to afford food before he was adopted! When you adopt a child who’s lived in desperate conditions like this child obviously has (and which I could tell from that line alone) then it your responsibility as the parent to earn that child’s trust and help them adjust to a safe environment where they don’t need to rely on stealing to survive.

So I guess she thought adoption has a return policy like buying groceries. I wonder how she will 'return' her twin girls if in the future they misbehaved. Back to the womb?

He is not a puppy and she is not a kid ! Adopting a child is suppose to be difficult and needs a lot of work and efforts ! she can't just throw him away when things get tough... My god, thinking these things actually happen...

Bet she wouldn't do that if it was her biological kid. Or maybe she would. Point is you can't just choose to give up on your kid when they don't meet your expectations.

Q: is she a bad mom. A: she can't handle her son. Lacks understanding and cooperation between them. She doesn't gives about the child. Hands him to a couple of strangers. All because she can't think of a proper way. Yes, she is a bad mom.

Difficult? It was a language barrier. There are ways of dealing with that. Just giving the kid to random strangers is like throwing away a toy cause you don't like it anymore. Yeah, the wife was terrible, she should be in jail.

I heared about situations like this since years - decades -. How is it possible, that it is still allowed by law, that "parents" can give their adopted child to absolut strangers and other couples have to go to all kinds of evaluations if they want to adopt a child in the US?

This woman complaining about how difficult he was, forgetting that he only seems to speak Vietnamese, decides to give him away to complete and utter strangers not even 6 weeks after she takes him in? Wtf? He’s even at school, meaning she wasn’t even with him all the time anyways? Like she couldn’t give him more time to adapt or spend more time trying to understand him?

Why would she think an adopted kid who's maybe 9 or 10 years old would hurt little girls? He was hoarding food and stealing because obviously he lived in total poverty. yeah the word finish sucked for not sending what the age they requested but that doesn't mean you just give a kid away. you find someone who speaks the same language and you get them the appropriate counseling and whatever else they need so they could adjust to living in a new culture. You know my major was diplomacy and even before that I knew when you have kids and they are brought into different situations regardless of they understand the language or not they need help. I mean if it was me and I knew my son was stealing because he thinks he doesn't isn't going to eat again I would literally go out into a city that has Vietnamese people who speak both languages and I would have them sit down and say hi you live with us there's going to be food every time in the fridge

Communicate with your goddamn husband! Talk to him, if you really can't take care of your child, work out something. Not just give him away like he's a toy. He's a child, not an object.
