@@johnj.spurgin7037 It's not really that close tbh, in the actual game story Armstrong was an individualist, and believes in "freedom" only so far as that he is a social darwinist and believes that might makes right and that society should be ordered in a way that favors the mighty to rule over the weak. The "freedom" he wants is the freedom for the strong to do as they will upon those who are weaker than they are. He doesn't believe in liberty for the sake of liberty or to promote human flourishing, he is the neoliberal belief in competition being the deciding factor in all things taken to the absurd degree. Whereas in Maxor's world he wants to end laws and censorship so he can do whatever he wants online (aka say the n-word lol)

Fun fact, the random Japanese line from Armstrong was absolutely NOT what the subtitles said. It was actually 「情報戦の邪魔だからな」(jōhōsen no jama dakara na) which means something like “It’s a distraction from information warfare.” You know, because the subtitles were exactly that.

I kinda want him to do a series on guilty gear lore. Because that is genuinely a cognito hazard. It includes an AI stuck in the backrooms, that debate lords itself to believe humans don't exist. A british dude saves the world by convincing another person who has the same social security number, that femboy and futa are based. A dude who is so bad at communicating, that everyone thinks he made the Japanese go extinct. He actually just wants to start a podcast on the moon. And the least weird thing, a man who makes weapons to kill gods for fun.

Okay so, Jimothy Ross, the guy who voiced Sundowner can actually be heard saying “I really hope none of this (his lines as Sundowner) is taken out of context” and after quite a few jokes Max0r puts a flash on the screen that says “this is a joke, do not take it seriously” like he did after the “several tonnes of crush force” joke. Also Gianni, the guy who voiced Senator Armstrong, is a VA and a professional shitposter and yet Max0r’s script was so hilarious he couldn’t keep his cool reading it lmao. Search up some of Gianni’s stuff, they’re gut busters.

I recommend anyone to check out the boss' theme music, especially our two actor reactors, since I can see them really enjoying it. Such a blast to have blasting into your ear whenever you're feeling particularly active. Work out has never been any more fun with "It had to be this way" filling the room.

I just realized (maybe a little late) if you HAVENT played or seen the game before watching this video, you could think the dialog is "made up" or "a parody", but in fact the dialog is very close to what it was originally... like a _lot_ just older references.... wich is crazy because this video is totally unhinged chaos to begin with lmao and all that you could not know that the "real" or "original" history of revengence is as batshit crazy as it seems

I feel as though even he realises that he can’t top the original dialogue, so he took that as a license to be batshit insane. Though, another video on Metal Gear Rising popped up that resembles his editing style, where he even played as Monsoon. I feel that video did a better job than his own. Still love Max0r though, I just think he went a bit TOO crazy on the editing and the creative liberties on the general themes of the game.

It just doesn't make any sense to point out Armstrong as something special), and saw plenty of people talking about ideas.
