How do the 808s hit hard and sound clean at the same time?

A soft clipper on the master channel and good leveling should do most of the work, but I think he probably has some EQ sauce on them 808s too

@@_only1sodo the 808 volume it automatically clips it. turn the 808 up a little it doesn’t matter if it hit the red a little, long as it still sounds clean.
