Power-washable & rust-proof stacking brooder is perfect for chicken, quail, turkey, geese, pheasant, and partridge. To ensure your birds stay warm 24/7, a temperature-adjustable 20" space heater slides in and out with ease. To prevent bird wetting, closed nipple drinkers receive clean, algae-free water from the water tank above. To remove waste efficiency, there is a deep manure tray. To prevent foot problems during the first 2 week, chick mats are included to make walking easier. The unit also boasts lockable wheels and an improved door locking system to prevent escapees. How do you clean the mats? When you pull them out won't the chicks feet fall through the bottom of the brooder?

Some people will buy additional mats to quickly swap out the old vs clean. However, you do not have to do this and your chicks will be fine for the short time cleaning.

What wattage for the light bulb? Do you recommend any specific color?

Between 20-40 watts is recommended and it is only for light (not heat). Any color will do but we recommend an LED daylight bulb.

It is advised to keep the lights on for 24 hours a day within the first 2 weeks. After 2 weeks, decrease the lighting to 12 - 15 hours per day. Lighting is highly debated in the industry so if you have specific questions, you can reach us at [phone].

How do you turn the light off without turning off the heater?

These are extremely over priced. Highly advise not buying. They are warped and flimsy. And will not support being stacked read reviews on the website and keep in mind they deleted my negative review multiple times. I feel totally ripped off.
