Here is Hiromi's part translation. (my poor english tho) 0:39 When we met 10 years ago, I was too excited to remember anything, but this time I want to enjoy every note of him. 8:32 Mutual trust comes out in the sound. Each sound is a treasure and every moment is happiness for me.

They interact perfectly together. In 15:24 Hiromi deliberately plays a note "out of scales" several times. Chick responds and continues this note. This is unique and only possible in jazz. They play on a form, but cannot be restricted in their musical freedom. As a Greek philosopher said: "Art is freedom in form". It is precisely this deliberately "wrong note" from Hiromi that makes art.

I especially love "Noon Song", "Song Of The Wind", "Sometime Ago" and "Where Are You Now? Picture 8". I had the distinct honor of shaking hands with and complimenting Chick after a "Return To Forever" gig, at Doug Weston"s Troubadour in West Hollywood, on August 18,1974. What a magical night! Sie interagieren perfekt zusammen. In 15:24 spielt Hiromi ganz bewusst mehrmals eine Note "out of Scales". Chick geht darauf ein und führt diese Note weiter. Das ist einzigartig und nur im Jazz möglich. Sie spielen über eine Form, lassen sich aber nicht ihrer musikalischen Freiheit beschränken. Wie sagte schon ein griechischer Philosoph: "Kunst ist die Freiheit in der Form". Und gerade diese bewusst "falsche Note" von Hiromi macht die Kunst aus.
