The club didn't go bust the old company did. Charles Green brought the rights over which allowed the company to face the financial consequences whilst buying the rights over, and retaining the club under a newco. FYI Jim Traynor is no longer part of the club. He's been away from Ibrox for about 5 years now

There isn't ''both entities'' in regards to the club. There was The Rangers Football Club Plc which went bust, and the newco was set up, and bought the rights to Rangers FC over thus we're still legally allowed to be called Rangers, and that's why every governing body in sport, including Lord Nimmo Smith's commission stating this.

Holding company has nought to do with it. Holding company outlived the incorporated club. RFC was a business. The holding company was nothing to do with the liquidation of Rangers. Murray holding company recently died as well. Might be the reason Murray sold club for 1 pound to Whyte? Murray holding company couldn't prevent the incorporated club RFC from dying. Whites Holding company was fund less when RFC the club died. The nonsense presented by MSM and clandestine forces that suggest RFC was unincorporated during liquidation is blatant political spin. The law of incorporated club is quite clear and easily researched. TRFC in its legal dealing at court of session had lawyers guffawing at the notion RFC the club was distinct from the incorporated club that is effectively dead still in liquidation and awaiting supreme court judgement before the famous club can be buried properly. Buying assets from an incorporated club is not buying the club. Its calling buying a basket of assets to create anew club. And the real club is still attached to its incorporated entity which stopped being going concern in 2012. This Jabba attack was one year before the liquidation actually happened. Jabba is still the mouth piece of deceptive political spin that has RFC fans believing their club is still intact. Just shows how unobjective MSM in Scotland has become that Political spin of mistruths can be passed as fact while ignoring the actual real law of the land.

@@utubetomgee The company was formed in 1899 not 1872. The club has been going since 1872, and everything consisting of the sporting entity continued on when the newco bought the club from the oldco. You seem to misunderstand the incporporation claim, the ''one, and the same'' indestingishable argument isn't a literal one, and nowhere does it say incorporation can prevent a club, or brand from being sold. Nowhere does it say incorporation prevents the rights being bought over, which is indeed what happened. To quote the sale ''The Rangers Football Club Plc ceased to be the owner, and operator of a football team in consequence of the SALE to Sevco Scotland Ltd by it's administrators on June 14th 2012 of substantially the whole of the business, and undertaking, including Rangers Football Club Article 6 of the articles of associations of the SPL provides''. Don't talk to us about ''law'' when the law regarding incorporation is only relevant if that club dies with the company. It doesn't say the club cannot be bought over from another company.
