I make pies all the time - freezer food for when I can't move around too much. My pies ALWAYS end up dry, no matter how much gravy...including this recipe (which is very tasty BTW)! Where does the gravy go???? The pastry is fine...I've used shortcrust store bought, used puff pastry and made the usual flour and fat/suet type flour...where does my gravy go????😭😭😭😭

Hi Zena - I guess depth is the only issue I can think of when considering the filling. But it's so great that you are a fan of batch pie cooking - there's nothing quite like it . Cheers for getting in touch

@@chefarchiepie Thanks. I have both steel pie tins, but for bulk, I buy the commercial alfoil type pie cases. I even tried to get some of the commercial 'freezer stable' gravy stuff, so could thin it down even more, but can only get it in huge bulk, which is out of the question. I'm going to do a batch of your recipe.....and hope that my gravy gremlins don't grab it!
