ingredients:
half kg chicken
2 large tomatoes
2 medium-sized potatoes
1 medium to large onion
green chilli
mint leaf
for marination:
125 gm yogurt
1 tbsp ginger garlic paste or fresh garlic(2-3 clover) small piece ginger
1 tbsp red chilli flakes
1 tsp red chilli powder
half tsp turmeric/haldi
half tsp jaifel javetri powder (nutmeg and mace powder)
whole garam masala / all spices
salt to taste
mix all the spices in yogurt and marinate chicken for 30 minutes to overnight.
heat oil fry sliced onions until golden brown, add tomatoes and cover, and cook until soft,
add potatoes and chicken with some green chillj and mint leaf.
cook until chicken is tender and water is dry enough .
cook on high flame if chicken is tender to make sure water is completely dry.
boil rice with all spices .
strain half cooked rice and start layering.
first, add oil and add half rice layer with qorma and then layer up with the other half rice, add some sliced tomatoes, mint leaf, green chilli and food color.
cover and cook on low flame for 10 minutes. once you see the steam coming out... Biryami is ready ❤️
