I lived in Goa in fact Goa is the home I can't go to at the minute. I've cooked many many Goan dishes before. I show people how to cook not just Indian food but all food from around the world. The rum was a bit of an eye opener. Rum is from the Caribbean which is where the Portuguese went before the English. So I understand but the 5-6 recipes I have don't contain rum next time I'm going to add it :-)
