Yah sounds like our place but we don’t have pasture. But the creek draws in all kinds of wildlife I’m new to keeping chickens building the run and setting up coop now. I’m watching you before my chicken order is in.

Great video Leslie! Leslie knows her stuff ya'll! And she has the best EGGS in the USA! I am fortunate to have some of her offspring! Your geese are growing up so beautifully too! Can't wait for you to have some goslings from them and show them off! I know they will be precious!

Loved this! We are from Ontario, Canada and also on KZbin. We are building new chicken and goat yards this summer, and I appreciate the tour for some ideas on what to incorporate. We also have heavily wooded land that is filled with predators. Our livestock guardian puppy will hopefully help keep them away once he is older. Thanks for the LGD training tips, because Bear will be guarding our chickens, Guinea fowl and goats. Found you on Instagram, and just subscribed! 😊

Thank you for showing your setup! It’s so fun to see new ideas. We got our first chickens last summer and now need to expand due to chicken math as well!! Do you have any tips for chickens eating their eggs?

Egg eating is hard to break! Nest box curtains can help. Out of sight, out of mind type thing

Try giving oyster shells. I hear egg eating is a calcium deficiency

So informative. Thank you. I am planning on getting some chickens in the spring and am trying to figure it all out in advance. I was actually looking fir a book today. Any suggestions for something to read?

Thanks for watching! I don’t really own any chicken keeping books. I did tons of research online before we got our first birds. Backyardchickens.com is a great resource. And I’m always happy to help any way I can♥️

What does your scratch mix consist of?
@THEFOURTEENACRES3 жыл бұрын
This is a 5 grain scratch with a high protein feed pellet mixed in. It’s milled by our local feed store. It has corn, sunflower seeds, millet, barley, and oats
