This is a full playthrough without commentary, covering a BETA build of Chicken Invaders: Cluck of the Dark Side. This build (version 0.20) was released on October 30th, 2014, 22 days before final release. It features some significant changes to planet chapters as well as many wave balance and UI design changes.
I wish I could do a playthrough of 0.10BETA, but only the first of three groups of beta testers got this one, and I wasn't able to find anyone who might still have it. Similarly, there are multiple Chicken Invaders 3 and 4 beta builds, but it's unlikely that anyone still has them since it has been over 12/16 years since they happened. As for 0.20, I managed to lose it for a few years until someone sent it to me.

Differences: The main theme has a long section (28 seconds) based on the Henterprise theme that was cut for not fitting with the rest of the song. Chapter 3 theme is unfinished and lasts only 2 minutes instead of 3. All starfields are slightly larger (for example 1530x1530 instead of 1524x1524). Smoke effects use "too many polygons". The Quality Assurance section of the credits is empty. - 0:08 There are no network or documentation related features in this build (Network Wizard, Help, World-wide scores, Uploading, Multiplayer). - 0:54 Cheats are not present in this version. - 0:55 Satellite auto-fire is enabled by default. - 0:55 There is no option to turn off the Mission Progress screen. - 0:55 Chicken Invaders 1 background has not been added yet. - 1:49 Mission difficulty is locked to Rookie only. - 2:20 There are no cutscenes. Each one uses the same placeholder. - 2:26 There is no "click to continue" tip on the Mission Progress screen. - 2:35 Comment sending feature for beta testers. - 2:46 Boron Railgun is always available instead of being locked until Chapter 4. - 3:34 Different key collision radius that makes them "harder to collect". - 3:45 Wave 6 "Surfing the Wave" has no danger zones. - 4:44 The heat UI uses a different blue gradient. - 5:15 Wave 8 and 99 "Black Hole Skipping" includes a warning "Don't fall in!", and the black holes are less spaced out and can descend far down. - 5:55, 59:55 There are no boss quips on any of the bosses, except for the Henperor's Apprentice when it changes the gravity. "Henterprise Hencounter" is instead called "Henterprise Encounter". - 6:48 Henterprise uses the default boss theme, as its own theme has not been implemented yet. - 6:48, 42:26, 1:09:08 Henterprise uses white feathers during the boss fight. - 7:05, 42:40, 1:09:23 The minimum power limit on bosses is the same as on normal waves. - 7:34 Dying with 9 firepower reduces it to 4 instead of 5. Henterprise drops many powerups upon defeat. - 7:44, 43:28, 1:11:51 Chicken Invaders 4's hyperspace (red transition to cutscenes) was still being used. - 7:56 Madam Madamme is referred to as Madam Mah'Dámme. - 8:22 Wave 17 "Energy Fences" is longer with one more row of chickens, and some of them spawn visibly onscreen. - 10:47 Sun corona effects are incorrectly cut off in certain places. Corncobs can sometimes get stuck at the bottom of the screen. Special Forces uses regular pitch hurt sounds. - 12:50 Chick Gatling Guns are less vulnerable to Missiles. - 14:03 Wave 26 "To Infinity and Beyond" does not have a danger zone. - 15:27 Wave 27 "Four-lane Merge" includes one more set of enemies (4 instead of 3). - 15:51 UFO Chickens still use the Chicken Invaders 4 design for their head. - 15:56 Soccer balls are indestructible. - 16:52, 1:05:41 Falling saucers always fall down. - 17:34 Party Chicken's projectiles are slower. - 17:51 Party Chicken's head does not have a hitbox, so bullets go through it. - 18:04 Starting a new mission on a planetary chapter results in camera zoom starting at a high value. Planet chapter names follow a different template, with "Artifact Recovery Mission" being the main title and the artifact's name being the subtitle. - 18:45, 30:52, 44:03 There is no tip for crashing into terrain. - 18:45 Submarines have no damage stages. - 19:32 All planet chapter backgrounds have been made larger to prevent black areas from being exposed during screen shaking. - 19:59 Tentacles cannot retreat while initially extending. - 19:59 Wave 34 Chickens at the start use Pilot heads instead of dive helmets. - 20:02 Wave 37 is not zoomed out, and the grass at the bottom extends below the ground (hidden by game UI). - 22:00 There is an extra rock right after Wave 37 ends. - 22:37 Some of the rocks in Chapter 4 are in the foreground, notably right before Wave 38. This section also doesn't have some large hitboxes to prevent shooting through ground. - 22:42 It is possible to crash into the ground during Terror from the Deep. - 24:13 Riddler gift has a completely different design with a black box and red ribbon. - 24:24 Artifact textures have not been implemented yet. - 24:42, 36:23, 49:14, 1:04:56 Corncob fireworks show danger zones in the areas where they explode. - 28:15, 1:04:25 Wave 49 "The Magic Flute" is called "Single File". - 28:34 The Henperor's Apprentice's head does not have a hitbox, so bullets go through it. - 29:50 The Henperor's Apprentice has feather particles when damaged. - 29:52 Wave 54 Chickens spawn visibly onscreen. - 32:39 Wave 57's ground isn't as well covered by hitboxes that prevent shooting through it. Corn Shotgun gift uses a different design with a black box. - 36:17 Heart of Darkness explosion is blue/orange instead of red. - 36:20 Wave 62 "Look in All Directions" is called "Three Sixty" and has a single danger zone instead of two. - 37:09 Wave 64 "Overarching Chickens" has enemies move at a less consistent pace, first faster then slower, and it features two danger zones instead of a safe zone. - 38:25 Wave 66 "High Speed Chase" is two times slower. - 39:32 Wave 67 "Visitors from Another Dimension" doesn't have a safe zone. - 40:26 Floating feathers have worse reaction to area damage (shockwaves). - 42:40 Powerups may spawn outside playing area for landscape orientations. (?) - 43:28 The snowstorm effect is more intrusive. - 44:00 Wave 71 and 75 Chick eye pupils are misaligned, always rotated upright. - 44:14, 46:24 Ice rocks throughout Chapter 8 are collidable. - 44:28, 45:11 Sphereships have no damage stages. - 44:52 Wave 72's final sphereship spawns visibly onscreen. - 44:57 Ground on Wave 72 can be shot through. - 45:03 Wave 76 has the camera movement take a sharper angle. - 47:05 Wave 78 has the ship incorrectly face upright. - 47:42 Wave 79 has the ship incorrectly face to the left. - 48:03 Powerups are dropped more frequently on Ice Cubed. - 48:38 Wave 82 "Armored Division" is called "Ironing out the Kinks". - 50:20 Wave 83 "Tying Shoelaces" has Pilot Chickens with incorrect shirts. - 50:54 Wave 86 "Caged Animals" has only two active groups of enemies at a time instead of three (total is still 6). - 52:20 Brothers Reunited is much more zoomed out (200% instead of 150%). - 54:48 Special Forces' knives are not faster in Brothers Reunited. - 55:05 Wave 94 "Highly Irregular" features Ordinary Chickens instead of Pilot Chickens. - 57:20 Giant Robotic Space Crab v2.0 is not zoomed out and uses different and faster timing for sun attacks. - 1:00:28 There are no quotes during Chapter 11. - 1:01:45 The Earth sky background is brighter during the descent. - 1:02:30 Wave 102, 105, 106, 107 Pilot Chickens and Metal-suit Chickens have incorrect heads. - 1:01:53, 1:02:33, 1:02:52, 1:03:21 Metal-suit Chickens summoned in Fly the Coop have incorrect heads. - 1:04:32 Fly the Coop has longer delay between attacks, especially after the forcefield attack. - 1:04:42 "Device Assembled!" is an entirely different quote - "Humanity's Greatest Fan" Installed!" - 1:04:56 Wave 113 "Nasty Surprise" has Aliens spawn without a delay for starting their attack. - 1:06:12 Wave 118 "Egg Billards" does not have a safe zone. - 1:08:17 "Hend Game" is called "Final Confrontation". - 1:09:08 Hend Game does not use the attacks from the previous encounters (eggs, blue ions). - 1:09:27, 1:10:44 Metal-suit Chickens summoned in Hend Game have incorrect heads. - 1:09:36 Henterprise isn't strong against Nuclear damage. - 1:10:15 Weapon pods paint pattern B is different. - 1:12:50 Minor differences with the Chicken Invaders 2 starfield "to make it tile better". - 1:13:05 "Various cosmetic improvements".
