Wow, nice fish guys. I've been fishing 50 years and never hooked any channels like those. Flatheads yes, channels no. Chicken livers have always been my main bait in the river here. Creek chubs when I can get them. Congratulations again on some nice fish.

I had dun just watching you guys catch em! Ive never had that kind of luck with chicken liver. Sure ive caught a few but nothing like that. Been trying some dip baits here lately with luck for eating sized catfish. Rain is heading in so the river will be kn the rise so hopefully will get into some bigger ones. Loved the video and you guys are proof that chicken liver does in fact bring the nice ones in.

Never tried liver with bobbers. Think i'll give it a go. I never new there was such an animal as a Golden Channel Cat. Very cool. We have Channels here in Michigan but no Golden's. Wish we did though.

I've been nailing more cats this year in the creeks and river here in CA! The low water concentrates them in what few deep holes there are left. Plus low water makes wading safe and easy. Get out there and nail some cats, now is the time!

Way to go gentleman great vid and thank you for sharing it. We have a good lake here in Pa that is loaded with gizzard shad and the channels get BIG. I run into alot pf ppl that think they are blue cats. Pre spawn would have to be my favorite time of year to catch them. When do the channels run the creeks and tributaries up there?

jeeze I couldn't even fathom what it would be like to catch some 15 and 20 lb river catfish. biggest cat I've ever caught was a 12 lb channel cat out of my cousin's pond.

If the channels are that big, I would be willing to bet that the flatheads and blues are ridiculously huge in that part of the river.

jurassicsushi nothing wrong with keeping a few fish for the frying pan , that should be fine but the smaller fish 2-5 lbs always taste better

***** Gotcha' So the 2-5lb'ers are perfect for eating and stocking the freezer. A big whopper like a 10+ - 20lbs use discretion. Sounds good and i appreciate your input / advice. 5lbs is the biggest one i ever caught. I gave it away to someone who was dying for some fresh catfish.
