I just ordered the limited edition one in Fiesta Red with a maple fretboard. It's supposed to be here Monday can't wait. I've been playing for almost 40 years, hard to believe the first new guitar that I ever ordered directly from the manufacturer was a Squier.

They’re great. Especially when you get a good one. Good guitars are just not expensive anymore. Even a Les Paul standard should cost about $1200 today. The rest is greed.

@@TheMixWithABD I have an Epiphone Les Paul that sounds so good I sold my Gibson LP Studio because I like it better. It's a Traditional Pro III Plus. Has Gibson '57 Classic in the neck, and a Super '57 in the bridge. Also coil splits, out of phase, and a 15 DB treble boost all controlled by the push/pull pots. Even has traditional LP construction with a maple cap and long neck tenon. If you like Les Pauls keep an eye out for one.

I still think this is one of the best ideas for a paranormal series that squier has ever produced. It’s exactly everything I’ve ever wanted. A hardtail Strat that’s also functions and has the looks of a telecaster. The double binding just makes it even better. I absolutely love mine. It’s really a jack of all trades.

Man, I got the gold one this week, and I'm loving it. The Aztec Gold was a lot deeper of a gold than I was expecting.

I bought the same thing and thought that I would either love or hate the color. So far, I love the color! The guitar plays easily and just "feels" like a much more expensive guitar.

Ugh I played on at GC a few days ago. I was sold before I even tried it and now that I picked it up I can’t stop thinking about it. I think I am going to have to get the Aztec gold by year’s end.

Thanks for the video. I went to GC yesterday to test the line of new Squier. It was a sad sight to me. I set up guitar's so I'm biased. On the one that is like yours, the posts were bending and starting to move and the frets were sharp. All of the paranormal and 40th anniversary ones seemed to have fret sprouts and have bad setups so they were hard to enjoy. I liked the thinline and the paranormal for the jazzy pickups. The 40th anniversary stratocaster had the best neck that was vintage worn in feeling with smaller frets. Nice c shape. I'm looking for thise necks online. Looks roasted. I push out way better guitar's than these. They need work.

I got the gold one. My neck had too much relief even after it ran out of adjustment. Its part of the wallflower set of my guitars now. Looks sick, but arrived and remains unusable. I collect bound telecasters from Fender and Squier. I had hopes for this one. The 40th Anny is my favorite of my Squizzies still.

I like the chocolate sunburst better, expecting it on my doorstep tomorrow. Gold and goldtops can look pretty cheesy on the wrong guitar. I think the LP and similar designs like the DGT pull It off. But, I bought a Squier with gold hardware once...looks stupid to me. If I'm driving a Kia, I'm not going to put spinning rims on it.
