I have been looking EVERYWHERE for this version. When I was a kid, my dad had it on a reel-to-reel tape of "party" music (talking like 1960 or even a bit earlier). We kids used to love dancing around like chickens whenever it came on. Thank you for posting this.

i remember when i was a kid i danced this during a school program. I had a stem of rose while dancing this then i passed it to my female partner. I must've been 7 or 8 yrs old.

I believe it is by Lawrence Welk's band. In the 1950s or early 60s I remember hearing it on Dick Sinclair's Polka Party on KFI in Los Angeles.
