I love grandma and the reason I keep coming back to watch for more is because of her authenticity in all of her recipies. I have nothing against grandma as I'm sure someone made a suggestion to her to use a can of coke for something different. experiment is also good but please keep the authentic food coming because that's what makes you unique and good to watch in a world where everything can be baught ready-made for microwaves from supermarket. and ready-made stocks to enhance flavouring. In the US there are dishes using Coca-Cola as an ingredient as well as using beer (spare ribs). There also dessert dishes using cola such as Coca-Cola Cake. In the south there is even a Mayonnaise Cake (mayo is eggs and oil) so when using the mayo as the ingredient you are replacing it with regular eggs and oil. the sugar in the coke helps to caramelize add more complex flavours. no one here is saying that drinking coke is health. but it is still a wonderful treat and this 106 year grandma is doing just fine enjoying her coke in moderation. get over yourself. it is kind of pointless to try and talk about what you think is a healthier diet on a channel with a 106 year old person doing the opposite of what you are suggesting. when you reach 106 years old, feel free to start up your own channel and tell us all how to eat to live as long as you.
