Watching guys like Louis and Wayne encouraged me to finally pick up my trumpet again after a 30 year layoff. While i am still no where good enough on "Let it go" yet, i find myself compelled to buy the backing track for this old favorite as well. This song, possibly the most well known favorite of most trumpeters came out while i was in Jr High School. Hell, this song is the World Wide anthem for us trumpet players;)

Firstly Jonathon I agree as no one would choose to cover a song/tune/theme they did not think was of good quality. Secondly, just the same as you I am entitled to have an opinion and in my opinion Callum usually improves on an established tune using the big brass arrangements for example. look at Game of Thrones Theme and the Frozen theme, both great tunes both changed & improved in my opinion. If a person is an arranger, they arrange they way they hear the tune in their head using whatever instruments & time signatures they see fit and on this occasion the choice was a poor one as the original was so good & still stands tall today. Sorry you feel my having an opinion on this was so wrong, I will bow to your superior knowledge on musical arrangement and choice thereof.

How does my harmless reply to your comment turn into endless condescension from you? I'm genuinely curious.

Maybe I took your comment as criticism in the same way as you are taking mine as condescension......a possibility worth considering?

"I will bow to your superior knowledge on musical arrangement and choice thereof" isn't patronizing or condescending? That's laughable. And for your information, I wasn't criticizing your opinion, I was just simply disagreeing with the comment that people arrange pieces to beat them.

Not usually impressed by guitar solos, but this guy had something. The phrasing was very interesting and it worked very well with this piece.
