This is great. We are trying to figure out a way to brood without heat lamps. This video is helpful in our brainstorming. We have a great barn for our very small operation, but heat is a huge expense for us. We know we can do something innovative. This is innovative. But will the air coming to the chicks from the open floor under box not make them catch cold? I'm thinking if the base could also be covered with the sacs to control the air.

Not really. Remember the house is also covered and I close the door at night leaving only the small window open. I also cover the top partially with sac bags.
