Recently on my level 1 incognito playing, I had someone put salt in front of the door to keep the ghost inside the bathroom--as if it couldn't cross the salt line. After they did that and assured us all it's how it worked... it opened a door across the hallway and stomped on the floor.

One that I used to see quite often was that Wraith would never step in salt - which until the Tempest patch was a myth. Obviously now it's actually true, so go figure. Another one that I used to hear was that Wraith could fly through walls, but I've not heard that one for about a year now.

It's possible that's why they changed the salt for the wraith! I kind of liked it the old way better because you had to watch to see if once it stepped there were footprints or not. Now you just have to wait and decide it's never going to happen.

@@ChickyTV I tend to put a line of salt piles in front of a Motion Sensor and wait for it to go off a few times, if it sets off the sensor but doesn't step in the salt chances are pretty good it's a Wraith

There is still a bug on willow street that you can climb on bed in the boys bedroom and the ghost cannot catch you during the hunt.

1:21 Each cruxifix protect for 3 hunts, wth?! never heard anyone say it. as far as everyone knows it's 2 hunts only, even the lobby reinforces 2 hunts only.

I think the confusion came after the crucifix was changed. Because it has three bits on the top (left, top, right), I think many players incorrectly thought it meant 3 possible hunt preventions. I'll admit I wondered when the change first came - but I remember people thinking it did 3 hunts prior to that change as well. It is ONLY 2 hunts - not three.

It never HAS to be alone. But if the ghost is an alone ghost, better to do it alone than with others. But even alone ghosts respond when others are nearby - sometimes! Thanks for sharing!

Crucifix has 2 charges, supposedly AoE (Area of Effect) is tubular from the cruciff itself.

I don't really get scared in Phasmo either! I did at first and of course, I still get jumpscared. Everyone gets jumpscared though. But overall... not normally scared anymore.

4:37 what is the point of a level wipe?

The devs completely redid the leveling, unlocking of gear, etc a few months ago (when the level wipe happened). The point was to put everyone back at the same point with a better thought out leveling system. If you had already played for any time though - you got level 1 prestige when the wipe happened. Players also got a badge showing off their old level. Thankfully, no future level wipes are planned as of now.

Im a total noob on phasmo, I started off by just throwing the cross down lol Im learning tho. Is it true the wraith will not step in salt? Ty for the videos

If you throw it down, it will still work, but placing is better because you can be certain you're covering as much area as possible. As for the wraith, in a recent update, it was changed so that it won't step in salt AT ALL. So no stepped salt piles, no footprints - nothing! You'll probably see older videos where people point out that it steps in the salt but doesn't leave the footprints. It's been changed so that it no longer even steps in the salt. Hope this helps!

Okay, okay, I started by waving the crucifix around in my hand as well. I'm pretty sure most of us did. I mean it can help *sometimes* I suppose, but it sure didn't do what I thought it would.

Yeah, I think most of us were stumped at the beginning. I think we read the journal bit about the crucifix multiple times and couldn't quite figure out what it was supposed to do. But I remember a few videos talking about how to use certain items and that crucifix thing stuck with me. If I'm not sure about something, I always say so in the video. 🤣🤣
