Question: Whose Bike's sound did Shivakami's husband hear that night? No where in the movie its shown that Shankar rides the bike(Royak Enfield)!

In that area there is only one person who had that motorcycle with that bullet sound tat was muniyandi's (who is the husband of shivakami) boss jacobs motorcycle.. he heard that sound latenight ,so he thought it was his bike and he ran away to his house to check whther it's him...... Its clear in that movie

@@thebookowln That is exactly i asked. I know it was Muniyandi's boss' bike and no where in the movie it showed that Shankar rides that bike. So it's our 'assumption' that it was Shankar, correct? And interestingly that's the FIRST time in the movie Shankar is riding that bike..(imo it would have been better if the director shows it already that Shankar ALSO uses the bike - which i feel was missing).

Muniyandi ran to house coz he actually assumed it was jacob who ride to his house... All by mistake but when he reach there only he came to know it's shanker who was there and he got stunned......

Question - Muniyandi hanged at the same time wht happened to sivakami is also known to Shankar and people around. Then how did sivakami appear at Chidambaram temple, was it real or Shankars imagination?

It was not an imagination as per the writer…Due to her guilt, she vanished from the village and started living her life at that temple where Shanker meets her.

Muniyandi (husband of sivakami ) hanged in a woooden beam inside his cattle field.... It's clear in the movie , there is a particular scene were he hanged himself in that wooden beam and crowd gathered to see that....

At the end Shanker becomes an ideological man atlast , and he regret about the things he have done earlier in the his life….At the end with all that regrets and pain he walks away from the placecalled ‘Chidambaram’ where he met Sivakami for the last time and he moves away.....There , the story ends with all the lessons he learned ..The director leaves that end to the audience …

@@neethurajendranpillai The intension was to discuss the concept of morality and to further analyse the depth of characters and to see will Shankaran have the same guilt if Muniyandi didn't die! If you do not have an answer or do not have anything sensible to add or is just happy to consume what the director/story is dishing out to you and never ask any questions beyond that - stop labelling someone else's question as absurd and do the best thing possible , just move on..

I know it's your thing but so is everyone in our country thanks to a colonial mindset, words like grass and cattle, drink cheyan lol yuck, just say the malayalam word or stick with full blown english soooo cringe sorry.

@@thebookowln Believe me I know, he is not the only one with this problem. an entire generation brought up to be non mallu. This issue is in my family as well. Our generation will immediately look up any unknown english word to avoid enbnaressment and proudly say I dont speak good malayalam etc. pathetic.
