Chief Justice of India D Y Chandrachud advised the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) and Securities Appellate Tribunal (SAT) to exercise caution when there is a surge in the stock market. Inaugurating the new SAT premises in Mumbai, the Chief Justice pitched for more benches of the appellate tribunal and improved infrastructure to manage its escalating caseload. "The more you see the surge in the stock market, the greater the role, I believe, for SEBI and SAT, as institutions which will exercise caution, celebrate the successes but at the same time, ensure that the backbone is stable," he said. Noting that the BSE's 30-share Sensex crossed the 80,000 mark for the first time on Wednesday, CJI Chandrachud said such events emphasise the importance of regulatory authorities. "It tells us that we are into heavy winds". "It is equally important for others to hold their balance and nerves at such times. Lawyers and judges have a very vital role to play in the overall regulatory domain which covers the securities market," the chief justice said.

Why people are not worried when a rapist or corrupted politician is easily coming out from the jail as court couldn't convince that his or her guilty but the same people are now worried about the stock market ,what a shame , What is happening in India , Why some one is interfering in to something which is not under him or not expert on? even us market and Singapore market is over valued but i am sure there is no lakhs of cases pending in theses countries waiting for final judgement as these countries has got very good judges. We people of India decided and appointed people based on their merit but i can see that most of the time they are blaming others instead of looking their own responsibility ,what about pending lakhs of cases in India, Is there any one try to solve the delays? Delayed justice I would consider as a denied justice (I have case in a local court which is not progressing at all and aren't you worried about pending lakhs of civil and criminal cases?)

Stock markets and prices reflect forward looking results. If the stock market is 80k, maybe the addition of India to the MS bond index (25$B will enter Indian bonds every year), and general strength of economy and companies and we are marching towards becoming 3rd largest economy are reasons for markets to go up. I expect the stock market at 100k by end of next year with more vigorous reforms by Modi in labor and land and agriculture. Indians should ask ‘why wasn’t Indian stock market at 80k in 2000’. That is a more appropriate question and when one asks that, then hopefully they will vote for parties that actually work for voters and not get caught up in caste/religion.

Today a Bldg has come up on our plot. Can you help us to settle the case soon before we die. Our child will have no clue on what to do. .
