Chief Justice in dock as fellow judges question election symbol verdict against jailed ex premier

Top judges in Pakistan have openly differed on the issue of women seats allocation to political party (PTI) of jailed former prime minister Imran Khan. As 13 judges full court resumes its second day of hearing appeals some judges put the blame on Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa led another 3 member bench for causing the controversy over women seats with its controversial decision of not giving its popular election symbol to PTI (cricket bat). Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa was quick to defend his verdict but also conceded that the same might have been twisted by election authorities to unnecessarily refuse women seats to Khan’s party. #Matiullah Jan #MJtv talks to senior journalist Hasnat Malik about today’s proceedings.

Buddy full court constituted before filling in the vacant 3 positions. Now even if the vacant positions got filled before next date of the full court no additional judge/ judges be inducted in the current full court bench. Why were judges seem to behave impatiently? Eager to play to the galleries? In doing so, a few exposed their knowledge of law and constitution. Only a just-minded person was CJ. Some were obviously political minded....one seems to be more a human right activist than a justice sitting on a bench.

Media and judiciary need hard work and out of box thinking to survive as legitimate entity in their fields, which seems to be impossible at the moment in current Pakistan. And as far as army and politicians are concerned, they both are hopeless beyond thinking and they held themselves in an unrecoverable mindset.
