Humans don't fear strict law. Punishment in old days were torture like boiling alive, decapitating bodt parts, eaten alive by wild animals etc. But that never stopped criminals. those who never learn from history are doomed to repeat it A better idea is to rehabilitate criminals just like Netherlands, criminals are the part of society, facilities and amenities they have consumed since birth to adulthood are paid from our taxes, I'd rather they work and pay their part to country's growth instead of getting free meals in jail.

It should be atleast 100000 judges .. We are worlds largest population in the world! With more than a billion people. We currently have 17000 judges in the whole country. What a joke! We already know there are millions of cases pending in courts for many many years. When foreign investors look into investing they will look into a quik and fair legal system.

No doubt collegium system is inefficient but has helped keep judiciary away from govt interference. Otherwise whichever party is in power will select their favourite Judges to Head the courts. This will lead to courts going away from neutrality
