This is a very important lesson for us to learn, This is a CLASSIC presentation highlighting the language of Imam W. Deen Mohammed when he first took office in 1975. What makes this lecture truly unique is that Minister Larry 4X introduced Minister Louis (Abdul Haleem) Farrakhan, who introduced the then Special Assistant to Chief Minister W. D. Mohammed, who then introduced W. D. Mohammed. These are all very powerful speakers in their own right, however, as Minister Farrakhan intimated on several occasions, none of them could hold a candle to WDM's wisdom, especially when it came to understanding the Bible and Qur'an.

ASA, I was not in Chicago when this lecture was given. I was in New York most likely Brooklyn, Temple 7C. we hadn't changed the name to Masjid Abdul Mushi Khalifah. I hadn't changed my name yet either. This talk was given over the telephone hook-up from Chicago to all of the Temples under the Nation of Islam, Imam Mohammed(ra) changed that name also. I agree with Amidah Salahuddin this was also a pivotal moment in my life Also, I still had my X from the Honorable Elijah Muhammad.

WMS, I'm 40 and wasn't born then but I'm trying to learn more about WD and how he lead the NOI into the Sunnah of the Prophet to be honest I don't feel his followers do a very good job of upholding his legacy cus' in reality as being a newer member to his community he was just as important as Malcolm, Elijah, Ali or Louis but he doesn't get that same glory. Not, that he wouldn't care cus' that's not who he was. But my question is was this something Elijah ordered or was it that WD was so strong in the NOI that he set out to do it himself. I guess the question is how did the NOI submit to his teachings? And wouldn't the current NOI still be WD Muhammad's community and not the followers of Farrakhan? Also, why did WD even for a short time even stand next to Louis X knowing that he might've had something to do with the assassination of Malcolm X who WD was loyal?

Minister Farrakhan didn't shoot Malcolm X directly, However, He fanned the flames of discontent about Malcolm X statements concerning the Honorable Elijah Muhammad (ra). Malcolm became a public figure therefore he drew a lot of jealously from within the Nation of Islam and criticism from without the Nation of Islam. Imam Warith Deen Mohammed(ra) changed the direction of his Father's Movement and therefore changed the perception of how we saw Leadership. He himself told us, That he wasn't looking to have the press and Media around us, He was primarily "building up the Fish that his father brought in". His words and that we needed to make money. Many of the business that were started by the members were done by people who had little or no knowledge about business but were sincere and willing to try to establish themselves according to the teachings and Leadership of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad(ra).

@@WallTrapMedia Also the vast majority of the followers of Elijah Muhammad submitted to the leadership of IWDM. The majority of Farrakhan’s followers came in to him in last 20 to 30 years. The community of IWDM is and has always been larger than Farrakhan’s NOI but if you’re getting your info from Main Stream Media you wouldn’t think so. Dr. Fatimah Fanisie did a very comprehensive presentation on this so google her and get caught up 😇

I also find it quite amazing that Minister Farrakhan sounds so much like his immediate mentor, Minister Malcolm X aka Imam El Hajj Malik Shabazz, word for word, sentence for sentence. Even in the tone of voice & cadence. Allahu Al Kabbeer.

I recently found out that I am directly related to Imam Elijah Muhammad on my grandmother's side. My grandmother 's maiden name was Poole and she was from Arkansas. I took shahada in 1999 and never looked back....

@@trueart1894 I know for a fact that my Poole side of the family are blood related to Elijah. Just because he grew up in Georgia doesn't negate that he is related to me. Further more, I've already seen my family tree and how it's connected to his family. Lastly, I grew up in Michigan. now I live in Texas but I'm moving to Africa next year. Does that mean my children will not be related to their cousins from Detroit?
