Like a situation of gathering stones thrown at you at certain points, assembling, redesigning & repackaging them to built a castle! No one wishes to never ever know their Parents (God forbid) more so if the events are such that they should be able to have such opportunity! I just recently lost my own dad after basically shutting down my under the table taxi hustle here in New York, suspending my transactions, processes and applications relating to my immigration status readjustment & law school/Bar license applications. exams , packing up all my cash savings and even having to borrow to finance the medical and hospital movements last year and that was both my mum and dad sick at the time requiring separate specialist surgeries! Sadly unlike advanced economies like the USA and the rest , there is no functioning insurance, medical coverage or assistance programs and overall state sponsored welfare schemes, so elites and privileged individuals resort to private clinics mostly owned and operated by international experts and foreign firms, and what that means is a hell of a lot of money especially for a an average income earner or middle class citizens but if want to save your person or yourself you pay premium consideration or fly the patient abroad! That decimated me fundamentally and even though God had offered more desirable solutions and I'm hopeful of soon reactivating my potentials and value adds career, business and leadership wise , I'm still recovering from that and he transcends to the point beyond very recently! More painfully is the fact that I unable to be there to pay my last respect not to mention I didn't even get to see him for a while living & working in Metropolitan Lagos and one day straight from the office on my suit and tie picked up my passport and still running visa and headed to the airport! Managed to gladly see My Mom and a couple younger ones shortly before that clarion call ! 😀 And then it's just me and my God that knows the severity and demand of the factory overnight contract job I had to do for a straight up 7weeks in Jersey just to bankroll majors aspects of the funeral and burial rites , but that's not even the crux , I'm more more than anything else so perturbed and in pressurized thoughts and inevitable responsibilities imminently ahead and their overall welfare , repositioning and possible relocation after the ceremonies! In the end and in final analysis, all we can do is to really strive to do the best we can and imperatively safeguard our own selves to intact be there for those who depend and believe in us ! Only a living and healthy sound person can fix or improve any human condition mostly by exploitation of material, limited human and physical resources available and accessible! It is well Brother ! Udo !
