@steve--There is NEVER a "Totally Unprovoked Attack" on cops. Bad cops get Good cops(and citizens) hurt. And when the "good" cops stand around, do nothing, or hide details, they are Also Bad cops. Cops have become Corrupt for the same reason that "soft on crime" creates more criminals. The Gov't enables Bad Behavior! Don't stop at Unions & Q.I., ELIMINATE Professional Courtesy("we'll give him a Warning for 100mph speed, & a ride home instead of a DUI"), Internal Affairs("We investigated ourselves, and found No wrongdoing"), the Legal Ability to LIE, the Thin Blue Line Gang mentality(not turning in Bad cops), Civil Asset Forfeiture if No crime has been committed("our dept. gets most of the money!"), giving Promotions to the cops that Write the Most tickets & Arrest the Most people, hiring ex-Military Psychopaths who treat citizens, like they treated war-zone civilians; as the ENEMY. 75% of the problem would be Solved almost immediately! Children learn to Lie when there are benefits to Lying. Cops have been given so many Free Passes, they believe, "The Laws don't apply to us".

The number of such stories you can find on KZbin alone demonstrates how pervasive this sort of corruption is nationwide. There needs to be substantial law enforcement reform at the federal level. What scares me is much of this is driven by the increased availability of video documenting the abuse and corruption; it is chilling to think how much of this went on for decades unpunished before it was caught on camera.

EVERYONE wants to jump on the "More Training Bandwagon" Training is the least of the problems, it's ACCOUNTABILITY. The police know, right, wrong or Indifferent the Union is going to back them up, Qualified Immunity is going to keep them safe and City Council members don't see anything wrong with what they did. If the officers had to come out of their pockets to pay for the lawsuit and understand that they would have to do some REAL TIME for their actions, you MIGHT see a change. Then again, the core or root cause is systemic hatred not lack of training.
@russellstephan6844

Yep... If the individual officer had to carry malpractice insurance, you can bet the insurance companies would keep track of them, their training, and yearly personnel reviews. Every person that is command-staff “and” in every aspect of a supervisory position, was aware of what takes place there. “People” talk. And the way that police have immunity, you know that working there gave the arrogant officers a strong sense of bragging rights. I’m curious to know if there were surveillance cameras in there. I know that’s a stupid question. Of course not. Otherwise, there would be incriminating evidence against the department and it would’ve defeated the purpose of the building’s existence. Just as the CIA and DOD has Guantanamo Bay. Purposely to circumvent any perceived civil/human rights, including the Geneva Convention, when it comes to interrogations tactics and treatment of those deemed as enemies of the state.

If convicted, I hope they put father and son in the same cell so he can look into his son's eyes every day and know it was he that taught his son the corruption that led to their fate and ruined lives.. That's Justice.

the fact that they allowed them to quit shows a lot. if they quit they can go to work at another cop shop or at the least try to keep their pension in the game.

They've had it all figured out and we're just now figuring it out. We can investigate them too with OSINT. These, and all oathbreakers should have their data entered at The Police Record website for the safety of the people. It's a facial recognition database for an app to id them when contact is made.

@@WitnessingTyranny the problem there is they don't do it themselves. there is a registry for cops who've lied under oath and done some other b.s. but they very rarely put cops down on it unless they get caught. and it's hard for citizens to do it because for the most part their records are sealed.

If you end qualified immunity it would put a stop to a lot of this. When that LEO has to face the music without the city being accountable for the payout and put it at his feet they will think twice

Only free press will investigate the government. We should know everyone's names who took part in the strip search policy reviews and approvals. They all forget about their oath and the penalties set forth in law for violating our constitutionally protected right and they've made sure we don't know with the help of complicit corporate media and public schools that pledge to a flag instead of our protective constitution.

Here's how the investigation should have went: Q1: Did you know about it? If yes, you're suspended without pay. Q2: Did you ever visit the location? If yes, you're fired. Q3: Did you ever use the location? If yes, you're under arrest. Easy.

Body cameras are STILL not required for all law enforcement officers in the US. They should be. "When Scotty ran this story, we immediately took action and investigated." So either you knew about it but didn't investigate until he ran the story OR a journalist is doing a better job of policing you than you are. This is why journalism done right is so important.
