EVERYONE wants to jump on the "More Training Bandwagon" Training is the least of the problems, it's ACCOUNTABILITY. This is mere “damage control”. The Chief knew of what was taking place in that off-site facility. Every person that is command-staff “and” in every aspect of a supervisory position, was aware of what takes place there. “People” talk. And the way that police have immunity, you know that working there gave the arrogant officers a strong sense of bragging rights. I’m curious to know if there were surveillance cameras in there. I know that’s a stupid question. Of course not. Otherwise, there would be incriminating evidence against the department and it would’ve defeated the purpose of the building’s existence. Body cam should go live to assess the aspect of ALL public encounters back to the Dept.

Body cameras are STILL not required for all law enforcement officers in the US. They should be. "When Scotty ran this story, we immediately took action and investigated." So either you knew about it but didn't investigate until he ran the story OR a journalist is doing a better job of policing you than you are. This is why journalism done right is so important.
