Vessel not only writes and records all the vocals, he also does the guitars, synths, and piano. The only other guy in the studio is the drummer, who is an absolute beast.

All vocals and instrumentation is Vessel except for II on drums. According to the Drumeo interview (a must watch) II writes the drum parts around the vocals. When they tour they're joined by III (bass), IV (guitar and backing harsh vocals) and a group of three ladies doing background vocals that go by Espera. Not sure about Espera but I've heard III and IV are now permanent members of the band. Sleep Token was previously sugned with Spinefarm but have just signed with RCA. They recently finished a US tour and they're about to do a European tour with Bilmuri.

I swear, Sleep Token has been the ONLY band that has made me feel like a nearly 6 minute long song wasn't long enough. like this song is well over 5 minutes long and it still doesn't feel long enough 😭

I've had a lot of time to really think about this band and what it is they do that's so unique. What I've come up with so far is that they are absolute masters of both pacing and storytelling. Just when you think something might be too much, they break it up with an interlude or some other type of break in the music that resets your brain. They somehow manage to craft every single song with exactly what is needed, never too much and never not enough. How they can hit you with an 8 minute song, give you everything you could possibly want, and still leave you wanting more is pure genius of the highest caliber.

I adore the lighting in that video. It's so beautiful. There is something about light spilling into a dark and dusty room through cloudy windows that puts me in some sort of weird but pleasant mood.

dont know if you found out yet, probably did, but they tour with 4 backing choir style vocals. on the track though, it sounds as though he does all the layering but didn't want to lose the feel of that live
