Whittier has it's share of problems, like any city, but, I find it hard to leave. Whittier Blvd has Taco trucks, pupusas, fire-grilled pizza, you name it. I do miss the churro stand that hasn't returned since lockdown began.

My family and I just came back from Chief’s Tacos and this little spot is no joke. We had the quesadillas with asada, chorizo, pastor and chicharron. They did not disappoint. The flavor of the meats and the homemade tortillas were the BOMB! This is where I’m gonna start my Taco Tuesdays at. People were coming from far to try this spot because they seen this on MEXI Papi page like me. I give this spot a Legit 10 out of a 10.

Y’all need to try the Carnitas Mulitas from El Momo in Boyle Heights, if it’s not the best Mexican you’ve ever had, come back to this comment and I’ll refund you your money. It doesn’t get better or more authentic than the Mulita King serving food from outside of his house in the front yard

Tried this place about a month ago... I appreciate the entrepreneur vibe, but the tacos were just ok... Even with the homemade tortillas. I'll give them another try soon and report any updates. They're not there consistently. It seems they just set up every once in a while. For al pastor tacos in Whittier... Jason's tacos off Broadway. 👍

You need to travel to Taco row on Olympic in Boyle Heights, the place next to the Auto Zone on Olympic & Orme(across from Ramirez Liquor) is killer, I lived in San Diego about 30 years ago and frequented Tijuana nearly every weekend and these places on Olympic mimic the taste extremely well IMO.
