Servicing a BMW R 1200 RT 2011 (part 1 of 3)

Welcome back, everyone! This is the first part of the maintenance I'm performing on my new motorcycle, a 2011 BMW R 1200 RT. Yes, I've sold my Moto Guzzi V85. It gives me peace of mind to know the maintenance history of the bike I'm riding. That way, I don't have to worry. In the next part, I'll be working on the brakes. Hey Man, Looking good ..! UR… A few years since the xv750 mods. I still have my xv1000 midnight special.. It’s a love affair for Yamaha I guess. My 79’ R100 GS was like this one . Drive shaft is a first respondent. If it packs up when overtaking it’s ‘coytenz’ for the unfortunate rider. Safety first is essential. Next swing arm trim and then Front brakes I would of thought .

Which one is the more convenient for service? ST1300 or 1200RT

Hi i am interested in buying the same year bmw how much would this cost at a bmw dealership? I am an novice mechanic so i wouldn't attempt it myself.

There are, as far as I know, no 'universal' prices all over the world for bikes or repairs... Best is to go to your local dealership and ask these questions in person.
