I've been a Chiefs fan for SIXTY years, so I've been thru more heartbreak than glee. We had incredible season tickets for years during the 1970s. When Denver lined up for the field goal, all I thought was that there's never a guarantee on these last second kicks. Bad snaps, bad kicks, blocks, etc. Years back Philip Rivers just had to take a couple kneel down snaps to run out the clock, but ended up fumbling the ball.

Yeah. Stram was very loyal to the guys, so the team got old in the '70s. Then King Carl and Marty came to town, with high picks and high hopes. No end to the number of ways a team can snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

Kicking Thuney outside is one idea. Morris or Suamataia might be able to play better inside. It'd be a bit risky for Thuney, though.

I felt like once the Bronco’s got close and the clock was whining down that the Chiefs should let them score and get the ball back in Mahomes hands. I was wrong.

They just won their second Super Bowl in a row after one of the worst seasons in the Mahomes era. They’re undefeated while missing like 4 key players. And another thing a lot of people don’t seem to realize is that they essentially play a Super Bowl EVERY SINGLE WEEK. Every team brings their absolute best against the chiefs.
