Why was the generator water turbine at the top of the spillway and not at the bottom , that's the same as making a 6" tall Dam instead of a 4 foot dam if you don't take advantage of the gravity from the water falling all 4 feet. If you look a full size dam the power house is below the dam not at the top and so are the water turbines. Also if you are going to build a dam make it wider so you can use it as a bridge too.

Impressive as these builds are, I have to state that the generator sluices he’s built are somewhat flawed in that his junction between the brick and the clay in some places is not adequate enough in that the brick needs to extend further into the clay than he’s done here in several instances. He also hasn’t extended those sluices high enough to avoid splash-over which can, in time, erode the clay allowing for settling and cracking of those concrete sluices. Cracks introduce potential unseen erosion events that can further undermine the sluice structures. Beautiful work; just needs a bit more robust detail work on the sluices.

Somewhat doubtful as to whether the electricity production he showed as the end result came from the dam. Don't seem to be any converter/regulator etc in the equipment he uses to harvest his hydropower, also it seems a lot of power to be generated by something like this and it just seems way to stable and smooth for electricity that comes directly from the electromagnetic circuit. I might be mistaken but that would be very easy to fake with a hidden wire in the sand. Otherwise very nice work, love the design (although it wouldn't stand up to a lot of force) and how he finishes everything as well
