Wow, great looking watch. I have had several watches so far, all from Amazfit (Bip 1, GTR 1 and now GTR 3 ), which is also Xiaomi subsidary as you know and basically they feel more or less the same as Xiaomi's own branded watches. However on my GTR 3 now I do miss the slightly elevated bezel on my older GTR 1 which was making the watch both more elegant and prone to scratches (have a hyper curious 2 year old boy and the screen scratches are telling the story). I am planning to buy an S3 for my birthday and so glad that most of the good stuff from the GTR 3 are still present here too (music storage, cool watchfaces, similar looking app, long battery life, etc.) and the added bonus of low price and design customization (especially the gorgeous green bezel) makes the buy a no-brainer.

Great video. One suggestion, though, is to benchmark the sleep tracking on this device (or on whatever device you're reviewing) with something that we know is more reliable (Apple Watch Ultra, or Series 9, have the best sensors out there, for example). Because yes, it monitors your sleep and when you wake up, but if you don't benchmark it against something else, you will never know whether it's accurate in terms of light sleep, REM sleep or deep sleep.

From the 3 watches you mentioned, I have no hesitation, in recommending the Xiaomi Watch 2 Pro, price wise it's only £10 more than the Watch 2 and you get much more better features than the Watch S3. I think if you turn on the battery saver it won't even measure heart rate. But u can't turn of measuring hurt rate without the battery saver I think

A few niggles with this watch: i can't find a way to swap the date around as its displayed for Americans (I'm from the uk) Amoled screen but very few faces that take advantage of this nice display. Can't find any downloadable watch faces as this watch runs on hyperOS not sure i could even get a week out of the battery! Unless I'm missing something

Non of the existing Watches from all producers have ever fixed such problem, but maybe OnePlus will be the first one... It is usually a hardware problem

When you are ready to buy this watch, research carefully the prices of the accessories. For example: put head to head the cost of the watch + that green bracelet and bezel, also adding a screen protector before you consider your options. Also, noticed that they are really really hard to find (the original ones/ premium from Xiaomi) in certain countries. As an example, only the bezel is around 40-50 Euros and another 15-20 Euros for the strap (found it on a store in Greece when researching for options). At that kind of price I think there are many other good options. I do not want to say my personal opinion on the quality of the products, just stating the facts. You decide what suits you best! (this is also mentioned in the video 😄)

That's what I was wondering, no mention in the spec. The former S1 does naps. Frustratingly the large display on the S1 can't display sleep graphs where it does on the narrow Mi Bands. I've not seen sleep graphs on the S3 so guess the designers didn't bother either.

That Braun oxygen sensor isn't very accurate. The watch is as accurate as a good dedicated medical oxygen sensor, when still.
