No because of love but because he got the eye of Mikael. Also, no misunderstanding, i am not agressive (without the voice, it's not always easy to convey the tone) And i'd love if this ship was canon but there is so few doujinshi about them, it's just sad. I'm not one to ship fast, but by the very end, they depended on each other, and could reveal their true pain and suffering to each other. They have a strong friendship, and have even agreed to help/protect each other for their whole lives. I feel lovers or not they are the kind of relationship, where they feel natural with each other. (The manga shows them as closer, especially the bath scene. Or how panicked Frau got at the end when Frau and him get separated, T-T and Teito granting Frau wish, when passing.
