Yes, you can go to Ponnaiayr rive. Not very far from temple. Kindly take help of Google Map.. Kaveri River is another option but will be very far, around 3 to 4 hours of drive.

Hey, Headshaving option is available however for bath u shall have to contact any of local resident near temple as they only provide bath option... Thanks hope this helps u.
