In my childhood some 35 years ago chalghoza used to sell for just 100 or 150 rupees per Kg and though it was considered a little bit expensive but was still affordable for most people in the society. And now it is selling at more than 10000 rupees per Kg and almost out of reach for literally everyone except for some rich people.

One kilo of pine needles (chilghoza) are sold for fifteen thousand rupees in the main bazaars. Not many can afford the luxury. There used to be a chighoza pine forest in South Waziristan but the trees have been mostly cut down for their wood.

محترم دوست آج معلوم ہوا ھے کہ چلغوزہ پاکستان کے علاقے کا خشک فروٹ ھے اس بات سے سخت افسوس ہوا ھے کہ حکومت چالڈ لیبر پر تو پابندی لگاتی ھے مگر چلاس میں یہ پابندی کیوں نہیں ھے ہنگامی بنیادوں پر حکومت کو غریب بچوں کے لیے مفت تعلیم کا بندوبست کرنا چاہیے یہ قوم کا قیمتی اثاثہ کیوں اکیسویں صدی میں تعلیم سے بے بہرہ ہیں ڈوب مرنے کا مقام ھے دوسری طرف حکومت کی شاہ خرچیاں دیکھو تین ارب سے اوپر کی گاڑیاں شہباز حکومت نے بیروگریسی کے لیے لی ہیں کیا یہ حکومتی اہلکار اس سے پہلے پیدل کام پر جاتے تھے ک اس مقروض قوم کو مزید قرضے میں جکڑ دیا ھے اور پرانی گاڑیاں اونے پونے اپنے عزیزوں رشتہ داروں میں برائے نام قیمت پر خرید لی جاہیں گی کوئی پوچھنے والا نہیں ھے سب کے سب اسی طرح کے کاموں میں مصروف ہیں اور غریب ایک وقت کی روٹی کے لیے پریشان اور بے حال ھے غریبوں کو دن بدن بجلی اور گیس کی مد میں اضافہ کر کے لوٹا جاتا ھے اور مراعات یافتہ طبقہ ان سہولیات سے مفت میں مزے لے رہا ھے قوم سوئی ہوئی ھے کوئی جگانے والا نظر نہیں آتا اگر کوئی غریب کے لیے قدم اٹھا لے تو سیاست سے نا ائل کر دیا جاتا ھے اس کی مثالیں بہت ہیں پتہ نہیں اللہ کی لاتھی کب چلے گی انتظار اسی کا ہو رہا ھے
