YOU: "Don't little kids have plastic hammers?" Remember, this was the 1980s, when they were still making toys that you could hurt people with. You mentioned Megatron. He turned in to a very realistic replica of a Walther P-38, and this was before those orange caps on fake guns. This is barely one generation removed from actual lawn darts.
@Perid0tStar8 ай бұрын
Hell I still remember the fake plastic silver six-shooters with the white handles they'd sell that were made to look like cowboy guns. Not bad looking, really. Not sure if they were patterned after a real style, but I knew someone who always played with them.

The cop in this movie was the voice of Jack Skellington XD ''How dare you treat that boy so SHAMEFULLY!'' Btw, fun thing to point out, the longer the doll is alive the more human he looks. When we first see the doll it looks like a typical toy. Shiny plastic face, sweet sparkly blue eyes, swab of hair etc. But when possessed, his face becomes bland and fleshy and human like, his eyes turn a translucent blue and he develops a hair line!

I worked with a guy that had a My Buddy doll as a kid.....until he saw this movie. After this movie, he begged his parents to get rid of it. They did...or so he thought. Some time later he was playing with a ball in the house, it rolled into his parents room and under their bed. He went to get the ball and when he lifted the bedding to look under the bed, that My Buddy doll was there....looking at him. He lost his shit, started screaming that the doll was back to kill him.

Brad Dourif was actually one of the actors along with some others that was considered to play the Joker character from the 1989 Batman movie, until the role ultimately went to Jack Nicholson. I've always thought that Brad Dourif was an extremely underrated actor in Hollywood that deserved bigger acting roles in his film career than what he received.

The remake's different but through most of the series this was how Chucky worked surprise kills from something no one ever suspects could be a threat and no one else will believe was responsible if they survive. Usually using stealth to hit them in a way that negates the strength advantage.

Yeah, Chucky is different in his motivation than the other slashers. Jason is out for revenge on the world, Freddy was born evil, and Michael had something go wrong in his head and just up and went evil one day; that’s why those guys kill. Chucky, he kills as a hobby. He does it because he’s bored and it’s fun for him. He does other things and lives a regular life outside of killing; he likes junk food, he smokes weed, he listens to heavy metal. And when all of that can’t help him relax that day, he goes and kills someone. He’s evil, but he’s pure human; he’s the most evil human of the bunch, since those other guys have gone beyond human.
