Sure if you don’t mind a bland, uninteresting, generic remake that completely strips away all the creativity and personality of the original film then sure it’s a fine horror movie. In all honest it should have just been it’s own thing because other than re-using the names of the original characters it shares nothing stylistically or creatively with its source material. If it was just a separate product with its own identity and no link to child’s play it wouldn’t get as much hate. Also pretty bold to assume people who don’t like it haven’t seen it. Or maybe they have and just think it’s bad? Is that so crazy that a horror remake isn’t good lol. Your defense is weak and your argument is boring.

Well I can’t say this movie was so bad. I mean it had a little bit of suspense. Only problem is it that it happens at the wrong time. Even though this movie may be close to the OG '88 film, they had made some differences in a couple of scenes. Like, Chucky won’t immediately find someone to kill, this Chucky will malfunction and changes his mind to kill whoms victim he spots. Even when his kills, he didn’t mean to do so, which is why Andy puts the doll alone in the closet to think about it.

This movie just missed 2 things, stakes, and timing, the fear of creepy dolls is always present for the case of og chucky, but the ai for this chucky should have been released before Alexa and Google home, or right before toys with ai were going to be produced, to capitalize on fear of these new things, this doll is too advanced and we are already familiar with ai. And for stakes, we fear chucky because we know ge wants to get Andy and quickly before becoming human, Buddi has all the time in the world, so when he is offscreen we aren't anxious

If this scene was done just after christmas then why are there watermelons still growing in the backyard? They would have been rottten by now and why did Shane not just simply unhook the lights before taking them down and why would he wrap those lights around him are they easier to wrap back up for storage? And why would there be a tiller outside still being used if this does take place after christmas? I feel that Shane should have gotten a different death scene than this(not involving his wife/children- cause i wonder who found Shane like that his family or neighbors?) he was a man i did not like cause he lied to Karen about having a family already(cheating) possibly other things to, he did the same to his own family by feeding them lies for a long time. I didn't like Shane for how he treated Andy/Karen but when it showed the end where his face is gone was the creepiest!
