Child Safe Standard 7 - Staff are equipped with the knowledge and skills to keep children safe

An organisation that offers continual upskilling and education to support staff knowledge is better equipped to keep children safe. Both in-house and external training is important to stay up to date with new knowledge and practices. This resource looks at how several organisations offer comprehensive training opportunities for their staff.
In this video, you will hear from organisations that are early adopters of the Child Safe Standards. They were asked to demonstrate how they implement specific Standards. The Office of the Children’s Guardian does not endorse any organisation represented in this video. Examples of their practice are used to help improve knowledge on how all organisations can be safer for children.
