Constipation is a word we use to describe difficulty passing stool, or not passing stool regularly enough. This might be because the stool is too large or too hard to be passed easily, or because it is not being moved through the bowel quickly enough.
There are many things which may cause children to become constipated, including stress or anxiety, certain medications and certain medical conditions.
