I finally realized what this music video means! In the beginning Donald looks ill, he is pale and has bags under his eyes, He basically looks like an addict that is going through Drug withdrawal. then he meets a Girl and he starts to feel his high again, he looks healthy & happy again. Him and the Girl have some fun, but eventually she leaves the restaurant, As soon as she leaves Donald starts to lose his high again. He then sits down at the table he was sitting at before he met the girl, implying that there is a continuous cycle of him finding a girl and being lonely after the girl leaves. the whole ("Ill never be sober, now i'm so high") hook implies that he will never be normal (emotionally), he will either be NOT High (Sad) or High (In Love) *the clock not moving represents that nothing has changed, he keeps going through the same cycle without anything changing

The audio quality is awe-inspiring and you can really sense it with the mixing of the tracks. They tenderly made every song with heavy emphasis on the audio being superb. The album follows the theme of a young man figuring out his way in life weather it be friends or heartbreak to a tee. You can really feel the album come in one big melting pot focusing on the highs and lows of a teenager growing into the man he desperately wants to become. The flow of the album starts off with a low somber tone song to set the tone and crescendo's all the way to the high point of the album when the first track of side B comes on (The Palisades) and then slowly falls down. There are a variety of song messages. In some it talks about friendship growing up and having to let go of those. Others it talks about a somber heartache that never leaves. This all takes place on a sunset of Kauai, Hawaii, which is shown on the artwork. For the young adults, this album will surely resonate with you and leaves you peaceful knowing that everything will pass and come together.

I agree. The message of this video can be taken many different ways but for meI feel as if everything that happens is in the mans imagination. Imagine a scenario where you are drunk at a resturant and your ex comes in. For me, this video represents a guy who never expresses himself because he's too afraid to be looked at as different. He creates a fantasy where he's charismatic, and weird, and unafraid to dance and be himself. Y'all know that feeling when you want to do you own thing, but you don't want everyone thinking you're the weirdo? When Gambino says, "And now that's it's over/ Ill never be sober/ I couldn't believe/ But now Im so high," what I think he's saying is that he didn't believe he could truly express himself, but now he doesn't care if you think he's weird. He's just going be himself no matter what. Edit: I should add that this is just my interpretation of this video. Maybe for Donald this video means something else, idk. For me, the really cool thing about art is that we can all interpret it in different ways based on our life experiences. So, when you discuss art with someone, you're not just sharing opinions on that specific thing, but you're also sharing life experiences in a certain way.
