Fairy tales are stories that do not really happen. It is fictional.
There are many famous Indonesian Fairy Tales. You must be familiar with the stories of "Timun Mas", "Si Kancil", and "Sangkuriang".
There are also so many children's fairy tales from abroad which are popular. For example, Cinderella, Snow White, Hansel & Gretel, and The Ugly Duckling.
Children's cartoon stories are very interesting and have many benefits for children. Especially when you read it before bed.
Besides improving children's speaking and language skills, it can stimulate imagination and creativity, foster interest in reading from an early age, calming children, also improve children's listening skills.

You can also do storytelling with simple Indonesian cartoon stories like what Mommy Glenn did. This time Mommy Glenn tells an Indonesian story about Baby Monkey.
The story goes like this:
One day, in a very big jungle, little creatures are playing together. There are Rabbit, Giraffe, Squirrel, Bird, and Baby Monkey. They are singing on the river bank happily.
The day is getting darker. They all go back to their houses. But not Baby Monkey, because he is so busy playing. He's separated from his friends and lost alone in the jungle.
The night comes, the jungle is getting darker and quieter. Baby Monkey is walking alone looking for his way home and scared.
On his way, Baby Monkey suddenly hears a noise from behind. He's getting more and more scared, don't want to look back and walk his pace faster.
However, even though he walk fast, the sound is getting clearer and closer. As if it's following him. The Baby Monkey is getting more and more scared.
Then, he run as fast as he can hoping nobody is following him again. However, what happened is the opposite, suddenly he hears a voice “Hi, Baby Monkey! It's me Elephant."
Hearing that sound, Baby Monkey stops his steps and looks back. It turned out to be true, it is the Elephant he know.
The Elephant asks why Baby Monkey is in the forest alone at night. Baby Monkey immediately explains that he's lost and don't know his way home.
After hearing Baby Monkey's story, Elephant takes him home. When he gets home, Mommy and Daddy Monkey are waiting for him anxiously. Thanks to Elephant, finally Baby Monkey is able to return home safely.
