I was waiting way too long for this comment. You only missed In The Shadows from Something Wild album. It's one song not three. Good job Sir, you deserve a cookie. The last one right after the "drums solo" is half of the melody of Everytime I Die and the very last girl singing is the beginning of Kissing The Shadows chorus melody.

This is one of the greatest things ever made. Thank you. Alexi will never be forgotten ❤
I mean, metal has the most in common with classical out of all styles, then you add that Alexi was classically trained, this video just shows how deep the connection Alexi made it to classical since it just feels right to hear this. Very well done! I would love to see a concert live that is an orchestra playing Children of Bodom songs or albums straight off, would be so epic.
@jani14jani7 ай бұрын
His classical training shines trough in his music very clearly. If you ever analyze the music he wrote you notice it very fast. Alexis music was a combination of his classical training, attitude and pure passion.

This is basically what my brains have converted Alexi&friens music to when I've listened to COB. Never cared for the screaming, I cared for the splendid melodies lost by many under all distortion. You did a wonderful, commendable and arduous job!

This composition is glorious first to last second, but if I had to pick my highlights, those are certainly Northern Comfort - very underrated song turned into true gem and Towards Dead End - in this slower, more epic arrangement it really is something else. I love this so much

I 100% feel you on this! In late 1999 when I was 17 years old I discovered Children of Bodom RIGHT when "Hatebreeder" came out. I immediately had their CD ordered from Europe and I paid $50 for it to damn get here but I was BLOWN away. It was the best thing I ever heard and instantly fell in love and it forever evolved my guitar playing as well. (I mean, how could it not??!) The following year, I also discovered Nightwish when "Wishmaster" came out, again, same level of emotional response! I am also forever grateful for having a similar experience you did with both bands. I saw COB live 3 times and Nightwish once when Anetta was with them. Anyway, cheers! Hope it helped evolve you over the years! \m/

Thanks to whoever created this wonderful video. Wild child of the Hatecrew, forever. P.s. forgive my bad English, I hope I was able to explain what my heart feels at this moment. 🤘🏼

Brutal proyecto en el cual he tenido el placer de participar. Aparezco en el minuto 10:09 Yo soy el que toca eso que parece una trompeta turbia pero con un arco de violín, en el medio izquierda. Chills and tears. Alexi was the most profound and genius artist I have ever had the privilege of hearing. When I'd be drinking alone I'd always feel one with COB and their music and understand certain parts of Alexi's life that he faced and never backed down including alcohol itself. He wrote literally about his own demise and told it exactly like it was with no stall or fear. I heard I Hurt the other day at the gym and having turned 33 today I can feel some of the cruel pieces of aging and some things that are damaged beyond repair. What Mozart and Beethoven and bach did for classical music and music as a whole is what Alexi did for me and my life. He deserved nothing less than to be honored in such a way because to me he walked with the greatest of all time. Thank you for this composition.
