Thank you sir for speaking out, the world needs these stories more than ever at the moment. My heart breaks for your beautiful sister, one can imagine what happened to her. Poor, poor girl. I know she’s 97 now but it still happened to that lovely girl. Bless her and your families 🙏🙏🙏👵🇦🇺

My great aunt survived the concentrationcamp. She was young and she only survived because she was pretty and desirable. So we certainly can imagine what happened to his sister.

What a wonderful man! He is so right; the atrocities have never stopped. We have learnt nothing. As he says, we just need to love one another - it’s not that hard ❤️🌟🙏

From my point of view The Bible says God gives man freedom of choice. Love Him and follow Him and His ways or not. So often man chooses his own way and the result is greed, violence, war, etc etc Thank you for this moving and fascinating insight into your life and the lives of countless others who suffered in the second world war. ❣🙏

My parents and older siblings survived the war while in Holland. Several years after liberation, German tourists once again showed up in our seaside town. My Dad would always shout at them " Hey you, I want my bicycle back!". Because during the Nazi occupation everyone had their cars, bicycles and radios confiscated.

I still associate the German language with Nazis. Really hard not to.

I totally understand you. I am German and really wish I wouldn't have to carry the guilt of previous generations. I often feel ashamed of what Germans did during the war. It's unimaginably horrible.

His father abandoned him, his mother and his 2 siblings that already were in custody? Came for weekend dinners? 😬
