The Qatari Embassy in Cairo, in partnership with the Qatar Development Fund, recently organized an iftar event at the Children’s Cancer Hospital 57357, as part of the “Iftar Sa’em” project by the fund. The event welcomed Tarek Ali Faraj Al-Ansari, the Qatari Ambassador to Cairo, alongside hospital officials, dozens of children undergoing treatment, their families, and a cadre of journalists representing various media outlets.
Sawsan Mourad, Editor-in-Chief of El Beit Magazine, was among the distinguished attendees. Her presence underscored the significance of such endeavors within the media landscape, amplifying the event’s impact.
The visit commenced with a comprehensive tour of the hospital’s various departments, offering attendees a firsthand understanding of the institution’s operations. Capturing memorable moments, participants engaged in heartwarming interactions with the children, sharing gifts and spreading joy throughout the hospital corridors.
In a statement to the press, Ambassador Al-Ansari underscored the initiative’s alignment with Qatar’s policy of prioritizing all segments of society, particularly children, fostering optimism among the young patients and their families. He lauded the remarkable efforts and extensive medical services provided to sick children, attributing the impressive recovery rates to the hospital’s dedication.
Highlighting the hospital as an exemplary institution, Ambassador Al-Ansari commended its management for its clear vision towards enhancing and expanding its capacity to accommodate more cases.
