Just to clarify, the filling in the empanada is called "pino," not "piño." Just in case, it's got nothing to do with pineapples. It usually does not have chicken either. "Pino" is made with just ground beef or mince, onions, garlic, and spices. The olives, raisins, and egg wedge are added to the "pastel de choclo" and "empanadas," but are not part of the "pino" recipe. Also, sugar on "humitas" is optional. I've never done it.

The pastel de choclo is totally worth it, often you don't have the opportunity to try it. As far as I'm concerned, there in Chile, they follow the traditional receipt. That's how they preserve the original flavor. Nice video!

Good thing you tried the completo although I don't know why Domino's has this obssesion with putting the ingredients in such a messy and non-functional order. The correct order to put the ingredients is first the sausage obviously, then tomato, then avocado and mayo on top. Domino's is the only place that puts the ingredients in the worst order, all other places serve the ingredients in the "right" order which solves the problem of ingredients falling all over the place when you're eating your completo.

Charquican and marine cheese empanada (with shrimps or crab with mushrooms and a lot of cheese!). Also Carbonada is good: a cozy and tasty dish. Chupe de jaiba is the crab cake with melting cheese. Also a great chupe is the centolla type (spider crab?). Love this!! And the asado is great, similar to the argentinian one.

I spent a few weeks in Chile a few years and travelled through the country from south to north. I noticed that in the south, the food was bland and lacked flavour, however as I travelled northwards it definitely improved. I love Chile though and it remains my favourite country out of any I’ve visited, it is fantastic.

Porque le decimos Pebre a toda salsa si es Chancho en Piedra, habrá que hacer una campaña en los colegios para que de una vez sepan la diferencia. Pebre trae ají en pasta rojo con cilantro, cebolla y tomate picado. El Chancho en Piedra trae tomate picado o molido en mortero, ají verde picado muy fino, cilantro, ajo, cebolla. Saludos.

Bueno soy chileno y no comparto con ningun extranjero por conocer Santiago les encanta chile. La ciudad mas segura y heemosa de todo chile es Punta Arenas y no tan solo ella ,hay muchas ciudades que son mil veces mas hermosas que la capital . Que triste ver solo videos la capital . Muchos dicen que mi hermoso Valparaiso no hay trabajo ni nada .Yp digo como no vamos estar asi ,si los grandes inversionistas y fabricas se fueron a santiago. Pero me siento orgulloso de mi querido Valpataiso ya que somos Patrimonio de la Humanidad y el gobierno no los da ni pelota. Yo he ido 3 veces a Santiago y espero no ir nunca mas. Yo dode iria y viviria para siempre es Punta Arena , que ciudad mas hermosa y el lugar exacto para que la juventud estudio y se sienta saguro. Es todo .
